Does "The Chosen" present a FALSE Jesus?

I know I was irritated when Jesus was working on his sermon on the mount and trying to get the wording right and asking advice from Matthew. He is God. He doesn't need to practice. He doesn't need someone else's opinion. He knows everything. They brought Jesus low in a way that is not right.
I've had a lot of people making a big issue of the Chosen, so I watched some. Some seems decent, but there are definitely parts that bother me as unbiblical.
I got as far as perhaps the second or third episode of the first season where Jesus is camping or something and interacting with the kids. Since the whole thing was obviously fictional they lost me at that point. I'm okay with taking some artistic liberties, filling in some plausible details, but I like it to go along with what we actually have written that happened. I'm not too into people making up things whole cloth.
