How did it taste?

Slimy!

That's why I prefer my snakes well done, over medium rare.

Yeah I prefer my meat well done, but snake meat is something I could never eat!

I've had it a couple of times. It's not that bad, but just not worth the price, compared to other options.

In Peru, I had guinea pig. I'd take snake over it any day.

Ewww hard pass for me.

I am definitely not adventurous enough to have anything other than normal beef, lamb and chicken.

Goat, Marie. Better than all the above.

Rabbit and emu are underrated, too.

The squeaking stops in the afternoon in Peru.

😳

Yeah, sorry. Just a fact of life.

Close it and turn the fire on. Dinner makes itself in Oz

😳 nah I can’t kill it like that…even though I hate them!

Huh, no seasoning or anything?

🀣

Those aren't shrimps on the barbie!

Can't even grill without a snake πŸ˜‚

That’s Australia for ya! πŸ˜‚

Soooo beautiful 😍 But yeah that would give me a heart attack. I can't say that happened to me while I lived there. Just one time my hubby mistook a real snake for a fake snake and it ended up stuck in our wall πŸ˜…

What the hell??

Nah I cannot handle them at all, my heart would just give out…thankfully this wasn’t me or I wouldn’t be here to post this!

You know the rubber snakes?

Hubby saw a snake in the bedroom and thought it was a prank rubber snake. He went to grab it and it slithered off to hide in the wardrobe. I was in the shower.

Kids came running up to me saying "mum mum, there's a snake"

I'm like, "I'm in the shower" πŸ˜‚

Anyway, it was up to me to build a shoebox road for the poor lil guy to follow while I ushered him along with a rolled up newspaper...

Except he went under a door instead of outside and then found a gap in the wall. He climbed up the wall (and wasn't even a climbing snake). We had to get a snake catcher to come get it...

And yes it was a venomous breed. Red belly black snake - but they usually run away rather than attack (wasn't too scary, but I had to sit and watch it for an hour to make sure it didn't move until the catcher arrived) 🫠😬

I’m ded….nothing more to say!!

I'm a kiwi, we are supposed to be more scared of snakes than Aussies πŸ€£πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

I live right on the beach and sometimes I do even venture onto it due to the massive amounts of snakes in this area!!

Probably smart πŸ˜‚ there was a big python in the dunes around Norah Head (where I used to live). Sometimes we would see it's tracks in the sand. Didn't get to see it though.

Too many Brown snakes and red bellies around here!

no way! omg!πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

Holy. Living. Fuck.

Yep 🫑

oh my LORD! 😱😱😱😱😱😱 Is this for real? I'll be sh*tting myself if this is what I see in my backyard! πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

in other cultures they at least kill the snake before putting it on the grill. I'll call PETA!

β€œHello you have reached PETA, please hold the line and someone from the UN will be with you shortly.” πŸ˜‚

Nope rope!
