At the start of today’s Oval Office meeting between U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Zelensky presented Trump with a handwritten letter to First Lady Melania Trump from Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska. The note expressed gratitude for the letter Trump delivered to Russian President Vladimir Putin during last Friday’s summit in Alaska, which reportedly urged Russia to return children taken from Ukraine.
