Purchased a 2nd hand Lenovo ThinkCentre m910q Tiny (4c/3.1ghz, 8gb ram, 256gb NVMe) for a total of $160, dedicated to Umbrel Nostr private backup Relay. Deployed on Debian without any issue, no need to install or sync ₿itcoin Core ⚡

External traffic routed over VPN, and use split-tunneling / IP table exclusions in local network firewall and clients to communicate with the local Nostr backup relay, to avoid doxing IP's

Used Nostros (Android) app to push data to the personal relay, and it seem to have gotten most. Even got back 100+ missing follows in Amethyst 💜

Just like to build and secure things properly. Spend a lot of time reading and building out of passion. By following guides and just trying out stuff yourself, you will quickly start to understand more for yourself 💡
