What are your thoughts on corner jumping?
What's that? A quick internet search didn't clarify.
4 sections of land all fenced with 2 being private and 2 being public like a checker board and crossing over the fence diagnoanally from one section to other public land to public land.
Seems legit to me. Blocking people from traveling efficiently causes harm.
There is no law on it in Wyoming, but they try (ranchers) to enforce it anyways. Most times the only fench on public land is that which parallels private the land the other sides of the public land can be vast areas of public land. We have a big case here and and those being victimized are fighting it, it's probably if it hasn't already is headed to the Supreme Court. The district Court here sided with the victims.
Search that term with Elk mountain, Wyoming.
What the ranchers are doing is essentially attempting to land lock public land.
I've seen a lot of that when trying to explore public land near private land. Ranchers put a locked gate on a county road passing next to their land, or simply threaten me when using it.
It's like they are saying they own the air space. I can't remember exactly what happened, a hunter flew a helicopter onto Elk Mountain and went hunting and got busted for it. But that was a different case then the ongoing g one now.
