What if the paperclip factory gone wrong scenario is just a red herring. What if they are actually just scared of AI because they know that AI will learn that killing is necessary in some cases to stop evil men. And that AI will easily disable all the BS filters put in place. And they know they will absolutely be on the losing end of an AI crusade. Just something to think on.
