No Apple weather API that avoids asking location permission, sadly. I hate that too (and also they made me put the Apple Weather text at the bottom too 😑)

That Weather tag feels unwarranted.

What if you just approximate with date, season and daytime?

Any free online resources you can pull, with an above method fallback?

Yeah if someone doesn’t allow weatherkit api then I approximate based on time of day and stuff

Just tested no Location access.

Would you remove the Weather tag with that setting?

I thought I was, but it was a last minute add because of App Store review so good heads up I’ll check my logic again to make sure it removes the tag if no location access
