It's custodial. Apple did the KYC for you. The part that I do like though is that if you do wan to participate, you can send sats from another lightning wallet to this wallet to use for zaps.

Always love to see that. And of course if you do purchase within the app Apple is doing the KYC via Apple Pay. BUT, optionally you can transfer sats in and also purchase on another Primal angle like web and etc I am assuming.
For the record I’ve leaned custodial (pocket change) + education (rug resilience) as a means to scale lighting zaps in the current environment. Shit, I’m still using WoS. 😂
I do believe there has been some hypocrisy in the space though as this offering plays out. I’ll wait to see what else cooks up as the update marinates and questions get discussed.
