Cold showers have been synonymous with this place.

Having no hot water has kept friends and family visits to a minimum (as in zero). Making it my secret place of repose.

Family and friends: Hey, I want to come up with you this weekend.

Me: I have no hot water, no cable, the spider, tics and snake situation is a pain in the butt.

Family and friends: oh. I'll pass.
