So what would be the next step for email? Run your own email server? (I am genuinely curious)

Nostr email relay app? Gossip? Meshtastic? There are p2p email servers. I dunno. My guess is the average person does not want to run their own email server just like alot of people dont want to run their own Nostr relay. It's not convenient.
