The End - 2025

I can't remember a year like this... historically I've been blessed with so many W's and great years after great years. But this one really hurt...

The past 12 months have been a 7.0 on the richter scale, and the tectonic plates continue to move... hard pushing forward when you're off-balance.

A smorgasbord of humongous life changes packed into this year... divorce, retirement, being "cancelled" by child, embracing Christianity, taking care of parent, removing alcohol from daily/weekly routine, new puppy, etc. It was epic in nature... and brutal at times. And that's not to mention all the crazy shiznit in the world that everyone else has been dealing with as well. What a freakin' year.

Looking forward to forging new pathways and solid footings in 2026, and enjoying continued signal on nostr. For now, I will continue with the grieving process. Merry Christmas and peace to you all.

I also enjoy year end top ten lists and thought it would be fun to put together a music list for 2025... it will be a fun way to document what I was listening to this year... the following songs weren't necessarily released in 2025, but instead were in my frontal lobe and on heavy rotation in my playlists.

1. iyah may - karmageddon

this song hit the bullseye... iyah may just came out and sang about it... she said what so many people were feeling... and then had her contract cancelled and was vilified for "noticing".

the song satisfied in so many ways... I listened to a lot of birds singing this year... and I knew the words... and sang along.

5. amanda cook - you make me brave

I had a friend forward this song my way... my year was filled with lots of religious exploration, I purchased my first bible, and on this pathway I found this song inspirational.

this bluegrassy tune just felt good this year... it lifted my spirits and I really enjoyed it.

I workout every day in some form or another and this song was simply perfect... it's a great pump on good days and motivational pump on the days it's hard to get going.

as a former trumpet player, this one fit the bill... nothing like a hard hitting techno tune featuring a trumpet solo... lol... and a great song to add to the workout playlist.

I had to add this to the list... I listened to this song many time in 2025... there were many sad moments... and this song was the right one for it.
