I’m trying to use the built in screen recording feature to record the Home app on iPad. Ideally I could record the system’s internal audio, but it won’t record any audio unless I turn on the microphone (which records the speakers).
That’s an ok workaround; however any time I turn on the microphone, no matter how short the duration, I get the following error: “screen recording failed to save due to asset writer failing to save”
I’m trying to record one of my HKSV cameras (logi circle view) with audio to capture a longer clip than the 15-20 seconds HKSV will save.
Any ideas how I can get this to work on iPadOS/iOS 16.3.1?
If you want to record your iPad screen and save the recording without an error, you need to turn off the microphone recording. However, if you want to record the screen with audio (system and microphone sound) on an iPad, you need to try some third-party screen recorders.
