Somehow some people think renting is cheaper because you don’t have to worry about house maintenance. Excuse me? You literally paid someone else to take care of it which you can do the same thing as a homeowner. And if you are handy you can do a lot of it labor free. What made you think hiring someone else would ever be cheaper than doing it yourself?

Part if the rent is a kind of service subscription which you may or may not need, isn’t it?

Yeah no I totally agree. I think rent plans should be more flexible and offer monetary incentives for people to take care of certain things themselves instead of outsourcing. I’m definitely not a fan of renting, it’s a flawed system- but that’s one thing I can think of off the top of my head.
