Had a great conversation with a normie who understood #bitcoin very well. The only thing he was scared about is that when quantum computing hits, it might destroy the concept of hashing and securing it.

I don’t know enough about quantum computing but would like to continue this conversation soon. Could it be an actual threat? Any research or articles that cover this potential threat including that I can share about that? I feel he was nearly there, but this really held him back. He is very technical and knows his stuff.
