Was looking around to see what survived our 14F cold that we had. These are some little plants that a friend gave me, she called them violas and said they had spread all over her beds, so she gave me some. They look just as good as before the hard freeze. And my kale plants didnt bat an eye. Some plants are just hardy. #grownostr #permies #gardening #homesteading

Violas or pansies are very popular for winter here they do well with the frost as well as the low light levels (apart from snowdrops, crocus and early Irises not much else wants to grow let alone flower.). Pansies are quite good in salads too, should taste better after temps as hard as that!

Thats good to know. Oh, and let me know if you received your seeds.

Not yet, probably stuck in the snow somewhere!
