Not true. I use WoS. The hardcoiners will lose their shit hearing that. But you can add whatever lightning wallet you prefer, to your Nostr client. Then you can accept zaps.

Ya WoS is centralized, but non-KYC, but they pulled their USA app. I still like them just because they're easiest. Self-custody lightning is insanely complicated IMO. But don't be surprised if you get rugged on WoS, even though I trust them. Just full disclosure.
As for zaps. Ya, kinda like a "superlike" I guess. I personally think zaps are overblown, but all the hardcoiners think its godly. The use case is still evolving.
I have seen someone post about needing to raise money for a crisis, and got zapped at least 1 million sats. Being able to donate directly on the post is a handy use. Post distribution and donation is directly linked. So that use-case is nice. But ya, verdict is still highly out.
I'm not a blind worshipper of anything. But you'll find a lot of blind worship here. There's promise, to be sure.
