My theory is that they long ago have realized war costs money but it makes money. Because it costs money to make money.

But

They saw how people praised getting out of Afghanistan. They criticized how but they were like wow it was long overdue.

So they decided instead of one way that half the country wants then will grow to hate and history repeats, let's see what happens if we do 2 wars, 1 so have the country is happy and one do the other half of the country is happy. Then they'll get confused and just be happy.

Many are fine with it or support it. I’m sure some are protesting in the streets. Others know that’s not very effective.
