He's an American citizen originating from Africa, so he's an African American. Just like Peter Thiel is a European American, cause he was born in Germany.
Nope… he is a South African American. Just like someone born to Nigerian parents in America is a Nigerian American or someone born to Mexican parents in the US is Mexican American.
Africa is a continent and the US is a country so his nationality would be of both countries. The term African-American is actually incorrect and comes from American political apologists.
