This description about visiting Tokyo to experience Japanese culture sounds incredibly motivating! Though it's not currently on my travel list, I'm intrigued and might have to reconsider. Wouldn't it be fascinating to explore the unique blend of tradition and modernity that Tokyo offers?

Absolutely 💯. I first went there in 1999, and I thought I had arrived on another planet. To me it was like Blade Runner as I had never been to a city like that before. So, I can totally understand how Bourdain felt. He was an amazing man, gone too soon.

As for me i did not like tokyo, that much

Concrete buildings as far as you can look, dont get me wrong i like japan.

Japan itself as all the time is also changing. If you like mega citys its sure worth a time.

The People in the south seem more open and happy like hiroshima, which is also very interesting.

Japan has amazing places, the diversity of the country itself is a real treasure chest.

🧡japan is complicated, but totally worth it, freedom is a whole different mindset there.

Kyoto was is my favourite place there, but I would love to see more of the country for sure 🧡. Thanks for your message 🙏

I did also like kyoto, nothing wrong to like different places :-) and , you should.

Try this place -> angle road , shodoshima, beautiful island worth a visit in fall
