A people proclaiming they know and understand history when their entire lineage but a few generations has been obliterated.

History has always been written by the winners to be ceaselessly suffocating the past for what it really was.

The truth can never really speak for itself by the very virtue of it just is. That which is lost simply cannot be recovered.

Life drives in one direction

The windscreen is x100 larger than the rearview mirror .. a glance backwards can be useful but change can only be made driving forwards

If you are not aware of your past, how can you be sure that you are moving forward?

How can you be confident that you are covering new ground & not just going in circles?

That awareness is important .. i didn’t say never look back or don’t check your rear view mirror ..

.. that awareness can then empower new paths and choices - but there’s no do-over in life
