Any recommendations for keeping Lego builds together?

Friend gave me this one a couple years ago. Kids and I put it together. Every year seems tougher to keep together. Took me a bit to rebuild the side windows that busted.

Thanks I'm going to see if I can find another Lego Christmas set to build with the kids. It's pretty cool waffles drop and the bunk beds lower to drop the characters lol. Pretty fun set
