It interesting, sense family came from Europe late 1800s and early 1900s. There was no such thing as European Union in Europe back then. Just government in individual lands, and by nationality, rather than turning the all in to one entity as soviet union 1980s and beyond. Even Italy was pro family and country back in pre-world war two days.
