Gift cards are a form of shitcoinery. I've never used them, and I won't promote these services. I want to receive and make payments directly in Bitcoin.

Me too! I don't have this app so I don't have personal experience. Might want to check this out.

No. Strike is full KYC. I do not want middle-mans.

Ok. I don't mind middle-men at this point, but more power to you!

I actually just put together an article about this.

My issue for not using this app isn't due to the thought of a middleman but the only option on the app I'd consider might be the bill pay. Then they go on to tell you that only people that have extensively used the app may or may not have the option of bill pay.

The more we pull away from the Federal Reserve we are going to be in uncharted territory and nothing wrong with being cautious.

1) Better tools

2) More education

3) Other reason

Pick the reason why there’s not more options.

How about virtual credit card ?

No middlemen.

Fren your wisdom rings true for me as well 😊 have a great day

This is actually a point I've been trying to stress for a bit now.

I see some bitcoiners pat themselves on the back because they refuse to trade sats for fiat, and use gift cards for all their purchases.

A gift card is just value held on a corporation's balance sheet that they've promised is assigned to you.

It has a use, sure. But it's hardly morally superior to fiat.

bitcoin > gift cards > credit cards

if you can find the vendor, good for you ... GFY...

gift cards are not generally resold, so they lack moneyness... complaining about vendors not risking their business by supporting payment rails that nobody is going to use is unreasonable

marketing payment rails to them is what you should be doing if you actually care and don't want to just sulk like a little bitch

How you organize your everyday life? Do you definitely operate exclusively on Bitcoin no cash etc.? How do you pay for gas, groceries accommodation etc.?

I still use cash, but I don't really buy anything besides food. I live a humble life. I only walk and bike. When i get my paycheck i instantly convert ALL of it to bitcoin. I try to pay with bitcoin whenever i can, but most normies would rather take melting cubes, so i swap some sats back to fiat via Robosats P2P regularly, and only when necessary.
