My buddy’s got a ps5 w/dd & it’s pretty nice but I personally think they look silly as shit I also don’t like how it has to have this silly little stand to lie on its side it feels really unstable imho.
PS4 is a beast. Nothing on the PS5 has really made me want to buy it. I'd just play my PS4 games on it 😂
Now that the fan and interior are all clean, I'm expecting it to be a lot quieter now.

Me n my buddy only play like 3 panes on the ps5 not one of them is exclusive to ps5.

I love the PS4. It's such a great console and it's really hard to see how much better graphics can get at this point. I'd rather see more improvement in gameplay mechanics.
Improvement in gameplay mechanics are better for the consumer. Pretty sure loading times can be improved by changing the code vs just buying a faster console. Form factor of the ps5 is not the best. Sony is just trying to justify a new console. Sony’s hungry (same as the other console makers)
I would need the 5 on its side but it's hoard to imagine how that's possible without a separate stand. It's almost unbelievable that they'd make a console like that.
But I think you're right that a lot of it is to sell new consoles. Just like making cars super fancy on the surface and mostly shipping the same internals. I'm sure the computer is more powerful and all, but how much more than the PS4 to justify it? Not enough IMO, especially now that I have a PC that can play new games if I want.
I do like the convenience of playing in front of the big screen tv rather than in front of the computer. Then again most pcs have hdmi outputs now. It is nice to have everything bundled in a package made for gaming casually
