I think this would make the most sense when there is some kind of way to upload files in app. Would be weird if it started downloading a 200mb file just to check and include the hash.

100% agreed and some pages just aren't static. Could cause unnecessary confusion
I think we can do it automatically for links to videos and images. App uploads to nostr.build/imgur as usual, calculates the hash of the content and builds a kind 1063 event. Then add a #[n] and e tag to the 1063 event into the kind-1 content.
1. #[n] is deprecated not sure if it’s good to keep using it for new things. might be best to do nostr:naddr and if you want to embed the url you could add it in a new TLV ?
Then you could also include an a tag as well: [“a”, “1063:abcdef….”] if you want queryable data links.
