This is a lawyers answer not me being Jack, me acting like a lawyer.

The willful enabling of crime, is a crime. In Texas if I sell you a gun that is legal. No paperwork, nothing two private citizens selling a gun one to another, as long as neither of you is a felon, legal. Got it.

If I sell you the gun and I KNOW you intend to commit a crime before the sale, I am guilty of a crime. What was legal became illegal, due to intent. This can be hard to prove. Even if you turn on me and say, "I got the gun from Jack, he knew I was going to shoot Bill with it"? Your word against mine.

But if you wrote me something saying it and the state has it, well it is easy to prove. In the case of Samourai they literally stated publicly MANY TIMES on Twitter, "we serve the black/gray markets".

I hate it for the Samourai guys but this is a slam dunk prosecution. Of course personally I find it to be total bullshit, but this is the legal reality here.

I think those guy were not wrong but they were STUPID. Somethings do not need to be said.

It was stupid, you know why they said it though.

It wasn't worth painting a target on their backs, but they did it...
