That inconsistency ultimately doesn't matter all that much especially when you consider all the boomers who have been divorced and remarried, living a life of sin and adultery, trying to tell you how to live your life. Things like that seem to be way more egregious and arguably why Christianity is bleeding numbers with the younger generation. I mean when your own parents are telling you one things about Christianity yet they're living a completely different life and their only excuse is, "but it's different in my case!" I can absolutely see why the younger generation mostly sees Christianity the way they do.

Although I am curious if psychedelics could be used in Christianity like in some kind of retreat or something. I mean they already do fasting which puts you in an altered state of consciousness to connect with God. How is eating a mushroom to put you in an altered state of consciousness so you can connect with God all that different?
