The notorious pleb fund did this plus geyser already does it if youve donated on there platform. Think you just add it as teir rewards and it will record who gets what. Think have to do it manually at first to those who donated/ didnt link there npub.

I think this could be used as a way to unlock certain features in the client based on how much a user has donated. or just give them a badge

I can see a list of people who have donated and if they got any rewards. but I cant easily see their npubs 😞
Go onto the geyser.fund page and click the names that have a line under them on your list. They will all have there npubs on there profile. Just did it and found mine and couple others that are public.
