what is it?
quick question. what happens if you are unable to pay for subscriptions for the coming years
Just cant remotely sign events. Your nsec is still yours.
Also you can spin up your own instance.
oo ok. so provider will never know your nsec?
Provider like nsecbunker? I haven’t check the code. Technically they know for a moment when you enter it, and then encrypted it with your “password” and then store it. nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft
yeah that seems like a risk for security
The nsec is encrypted clientside.
But the best thing you can do is just self-host it!
The security model is very similar to Voltsge: isolated instances, secret is encrypted on disk and requires interactivity from the user to unlock when the server restarts.
But again, the magic with these things is that you can easily self-host them! 😉
I tried, couldn’t figure it out
Mmm..
