Thanks for the info. I am afraid we are stuck since my husband has 401k through a current employer. Seems like it can only be a rollover from a former employer.

Bummer. I hate how all this garbage is rules all the time. Everywhere.

Yep, they want us to be stuck in the bureaucracy. But i think you can still open a Roth with them, just need to fund it. Not sure what the minimums are.
