Physicist. Question. Do you perceive mathematics as a human construct used to describe the physical world fairly accurately, or the fundamental language of the universe, where any shortcomings in applying that language is simply a lack of understanding of nuance and complexity by our species?
It seems to me that if mathematics is the most concise methodology for communicating and describing aspects of the natural world animal intelligences other than humans would have capitalized on this long ago. Opinions?
If intelligent life from another galaxy showed up on earth tomorrow would their fundamental mathematics be the same as ours?
