Thinking about it some more, I'd say Beck is more like the Bowie of our generation. A solo act, quirky style, constantly reinventing himself. The Smashing Pumpkins, hmm. I would say Queen, for the range of styles and operatic ostentation, but Corgan's voice isn't a patch on Freddy. Supertramp?
