LUKS on ext4 takes 50 seconds on my high end gaming laptop to even open the slot + regular boot time. I rather place my sensitive information on a second partition or SSD which is quickly opened once the system is booted than use LUKS to fully encrypt the system. Mind you, 50 seconds penalty also when waking up from hibernation! Inakzeptabel. #linux

LUKS works through the bios and can't take advantage of any hardware acceleration 🫣
