He's 14. Last we spoke he was 12, and obsessed with the Communist Revolution. I asked for updates, he said he's over Communism now.

Funny you say this. In Stirner schools this is the age when they teach about revolutions. It has something to do with biology and hormones, a young teenage male is essentially in a continuous state of revolution against their parents, their teachers, and even themselves.

It is always the case with the “younger” generation. The mantra was “don’t trust anyone over 30” in the group a little older than I. But when you are 18, or younger, everyone older is “old”, they hardly have enough sense of the world to understand subtleties, their experience can barely inform them. Youth is wasted on the young.
