Interesting graph, but what makes you think it will surpass Twitter? Not disagreeing necessarily, just curious on your reasoning.

If it does I think the reason will be because it is inherently tied to and feeding off the Instagram user base, which is substantial. But how many Instagram users want a another app that’s basically Instagram without pictures?

Admittedly it is also feeding of the Twitter refugees, but if Elon manages to get things sorted out in the coming months, why wouldn’t people just go back there to their established follower bases and familiar experience.

Admittedly it’s off to a strong start, but it’s still smaller more than an order of magnitude away from even touching Reddit.

By the way any one who reads this, don’t go sign up for this data harvesting app that is Threads. Meta must shrink over the coming decade, not continue to grow.
