Like if you pay low fees your transaction takes forever to get included, but if you pay high fees then your transaction possibly takes 10 minutes to potentially get included.

Sounds reasonable. What's the issue?

On other crypto networks I've paid drastically lower fees, and my transactions have gone through relatively quicker despite this.

With Bitcoin, I've paid high fees, my transaction was about to be included into the next block but then someone bumped me down a few times.

There's been times (in the past) that I thought my transaction would be in limbo, or orphaned.

I'm sure there's settings to make sure that you get included quicker into blocks besides per Sat vb but I'm not aware of those settings, or which wallets let you be included, have low fees, and maintains privacy.

If you are unhappy with the time it takes then you can increase your fee via CPFP or RBF in most good wallet software, e.g. Sparrow Wallet.

The block time of 10min is fine. Bitcoin to my mind is meant to compete against international payments, which cost around $40 and take up to a week (longer if you are sending to a shitty country).

I will have to look into sparrow wallet, and CPFP, I haven't used those features yet.

When you frame it that way, yes Bitcoin is better than Fiat.
