A closed fist can mean different things to different cultures…

and in this case it’s a fist holding #bitcoin .

Without reading the context it’s portraying, how can you know from which framework the cover is playing with the fist?

Have you read it? Or are you judging the book by its cover?

What does this mean?

Please recommend this to your following since you never judge books based on their covers.

This fist being used cannot be mistaken for anything but the commie fist just as the swastika cannot be mistaken for anything but Nazism.

The ancient origins of these symbols are irrelevant; they've been monopolized by their modern depictions.

This one cover speaks for the whole book in flashy colors. 🎯

Which is why i would never recommend it.

But one day, if i were writing about a story taking place in that context, where that book were relevant to me to try to create characters that live and believe that, then maybe i would read it.

It’s not a topic or theme that i’m interested in writing about, but if i were who knows 😅

Not the same ballpark in expansiveness of representation imo

The swastika’s representation is limited to itself.

A fist representation is much wider and can mean different things to different cultures around the globe.

simply my response without reading its content is very narrow to know in which way it’s meant to be interpreted.

There are plenty of films with a swastika on their cover poster, to relay different things/representations with that common “context”

Dunno, just thinking out loud

It's exactly the same.

The Swastika is less limited to itself than that particular fist. It’s an ancient symbol of good/bad fortune. TIL the earliest depiction originated in Ukraine, well… fancy that!

Thanks for sharing. And if i ever did research that led me to those covers i would consider reading it from each of those contexts 💪
