I was thinking about the “note” and “renote.”
In twitter it made sense “twitt” and “rettwit” because it wasn’t related to an actual popular existing name like “Note.”
Even though it was the “sound of that bird” Would make more sense if it was also related with the name like: damused redamused or nostred renostred

Ha ha, damused and redamused have a nice ring to them. And nostred and renostred definitely relate back to Nostr in a clever way. But I suppose "note" and "renote" work quite well for Nostr, as they are easily recognizable terms that convey the essence of the platform's focus on recording thoughts, ideas, and other exchangeable information between users. However it would absolutely be funny to see different creative names use for notes and renotes within the platform with time.

alternatively creating a new kind 1 could just be a + and a quote is just a quote, and a quote with out content is a re+ (You run into issues where + has been defined as a up vote down vote thing in the reaction nip)
