There is a Gaelic word "taise" (pronounced "tash") , which means damp, but I've heard Gaelic speakers (especially from a fishing background) frequently use it to describe the lightest type of drizzly rain , the kind that just hangs in the air , almost like a fog .

Like Eskimo's with snow, i am not surprised emerald islanders have several different words for rain.

I'd love to gather them all up in a collection XD .

There are many many words for Island as well.

I bet there is no word for a lake that hangs above the ocean though.
