Ashamed to admit this.. giving #[3] too much head space, I guess. When it comes to electric vehicles.. I always hear a modified version of “but where does the yield come from?”

But where does the electricity come from?

this is an excellent question. the best way to break the brain of a delusional “renewables” bro (“renewabro”?) is to point out, repeatedly and aggressively, that you can’t make solar panels with solar energy.

renewables are an economically irrational signalling mechanism. they prove you are rich enough to waste money on nonsense. the true economic good is the warm, fuzzy feels that you pay for in the opportunity cost of real, reliable power.

(p.s. no such thing as giving me too much head space. I am very wisdomous)

I dunno.. renewabro sounds too much like refurbishing old worn out bros. Quite possibly a need for this now that I think on it. You did say wisdomous.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Those warm and fuzzy feels keep the question from consideration. The signaling is more important than significant consideration of actual cost.

Hunting a silver lining.. maybe demand incentivizes nuclear buildout faster than without? Would require asking the question though..
