RSA keys are usually 1024/2048/4096 bits 403 could be an ascii armoured key which is a fancy way of storing a base64 encoded key

Thanks, Kieran. I thought I remembered creating a 2048 bit key. I have a server that wants a pubkey for auth, but it's field-validating for 256 chars.

Your looking for the key fingerprint I think you can print this with ssh-keygen command but better to Google it
