Cancer's a fascinating thing because it's solely the failing of a part of the immune system. A cytokine known as the tumor necrotizing factor is responsible for eliminating rogue cells. You will always have cancerous cells in your body because it's a normal part of cell replication. In a normal instance, the TNF cytokine's released and you natural killer cells go in and eliminate the cells.
It's obscene that a preprogrammed failing of such a function could ever become a multibillion dollar industry.
