This was an ironic spin on "Twitter creators" getting payed by Elons dirty ad money. Large accounts got payed a few $k in fiat payouts from ad revenue.

I prefer the value for value model. The incentives are better aligned, its instant settlement with lightning, no kyc, and micropayments done directly by followers/viewers, and zaps are rewarded to specific notes.
