reason, i often want to quote a post with the same reply, i also see many quotes that get lost because they are not attached to the original thread and quotes are near always in the form of a reply, ie they address the quoted post

with nostrs customizablity it would be easy to toggle this etc

also in the same vein what about thread merging? i am thinking these things from first principles like removing silos
