You lost me at “but” even though I agree

iPads are actually better than most other devices because you can set parental controls. Combined with some router enabled stuff it’s not hard to block things you don’t want rotting your kids minds. But on their own iPads are not terrible. I give my kids unlimited time on theirs and they never stay on long - zero enforcement. That’s because we have more fun doing other things.
