Well in Czechia it's buchty and Germany has Buchteln. I'd say the polish term is right there somewhere. Can ask my polish friend.

I bake there amongst the big ones also 12 small ones without filling. For buns with vanilla cream, kids love that. The big ones loose their shape a bit, but seriously who cares.😄🫡
