anonymity of your finances is one thing
you cannot operate in the world being anonymous ie. no identity because the world is based on trust (funny right)
I do and have for ages. I literally need ID 2 or 3 times a year. why do you need my name to sell me something? My company is numbered and owned by numbered so clients dont even know my name. My socials are under different handles two or three deep. so you are wrong. I have proof of work on my side. Its possible, you just have to care enough to do it. The world existed and functioned and had markets before gov ID. why is this so hard to comprehend.
Nothing is perfect and your clothes dont make you invisible but that is no reason not to wear clothes.
Your basic argument comes down to.1. Thats how things are tho - appeal to tradition and 2. You cant be fully anon so dont try at all.
strange position to take. whats the motivation? Are you working on some centralizer project or nostr Identity management scheme or something? Drank the kool aid from a project doing the same maybe? either way the argument is flawed on structural basis and defeatist in its epilogue
