Either you work for yourself or you get to a point working for someone else where it’s basically the same.
I’m the latter. They wouldn’t fire me unless I really deserved it. My politics are different but they don’t GAF, they accept it as part of why I’m so good at what I do.
Once you reach a level where you know your industry, know your customers, and can just deliver with eyes closed then all this stuff is just noise. No company wants to shoot their golden geese.
