yeah i built the artist payout system at monstercat. We were one of the first labels with a “dev team” which enabled us to actually pay artists monthly, which apparently was rare??

lots of artists don’t get paid residuals especially session musicians on albums as there are rarely good tech financial systems to distribute micro payments so streaming platforms will just bundle and send them to, not pick on her but, the beyonces, because the financial pathway is there & established.
