Bitcoin Core is kind of like the people who buy a restaurant that’s been around for a decade and after the sale goes through they change the menu. Then they start scratching their heads wondering why their business is going down and people stopped eating at their restaurant. Instead of asking their customers what’s wrong with their meal they call them stupid and say their taste buds are wrong and their food is great.

Why the vague metaphor that doesn't really make any sense?

Bitcoin isn't a restaurant. It doesn't have an owner. You don't get to dictate how others use it. You don't get to tell others what sort of code to write. You don't get to tell others what to do with their property. The Knots/Ocean cult has gone full blown retard

Vague? Look at all my other notes from today. My point went right over your head. Core is the one making the changes. Knots is closer to Core v25 than Core 30 is. But the people opting out of this madness are retarded? You are just another brain dead bitcoin core pawn giving up your node configuration settings. You are aligned with taproot wizards, ethereum, and bad actors. Time to look in the mirror bub.

The new version of Core is not removing config options. This is a talking point from a salesman who works for a corporate sponsored mining pool funded by Tether.

You are the one who is brain dead; you should verify things before you eat up some marketing narrative from feds

They also didn't schmooze the guy from TripAdviser when he came to review them and hired a cigarette company to do their PR and media

😊

That's funny.

I see knots closing in on 20% really surprised. Can knots win this war? I’m still confused on the end game? Are ordinals and inscriptions even spam ? The chain is empty…isn’t that bad? Core is pragmatic right ? Knots is idealistic. Did small blockers ever admit mistakes had been made?

These are good questions when trying to find an objective truth, but bitcoin is a tool to serve people. People want tools to their liking, which may be different than technical objectives. For example, hammers don’t need handles unless the people using them have hands and particular body mechanics. It’s a fight over what shape a tool should be.

This is a good analogy. Even though there is still a way to configure these settings in 30, it has taken it “off the menu”. A restaurant can cook you something off menu, but there are added frictions relative to what’s just on the menu. The hard line will be when the restaurant no longer stocks the raw ingredients required for substitutions and special requests. Core is planning to continue deprecating certain configurations to the point that the average user is unable to manipulate settings to their liking.

We don’t make cheeseburgers here anymore, but you can still have a cheeseburger. Just go buy the ingredients, set up a kitchen, learn to cook, and make it for yourself. OR, go to another restaurant.

Knots is just a different restaurant.

Yes Knots is the restaurant that resembles the original restaurant the most.

Knots is closer to core v25 than core v30 is.

Core left a bad taste in their customers mouths because the chefs were jerking off in the back and it got in the food.

Knots doesn’t let their employees jerk off in the kitchen.

“But it’s a delicacy to someone!”
